Why do you recommend buying more than one style of carrier? TOP
Because your babywearing needs may change from day to day, or even hour by hour. Sometimes you want the quick 'popable' ease of a Pouch, (a quick trip into the store) and sometimes you want the comfort of a Wrap.(baby likes to nap with Mama) One Mama may find it easier and more comfortable to nurse in a Mei Tai, but prefer to use an Ergo backpack for a back carry. Our babywearing experience has taught us that it is worth it to invest in more than one baby carrier. I don't know about you, but I own more than one pair of shoes. Depending on my needs, sometimes I reach for my sneakers, and sometimes my sandals. And don't forget, babywearing can be functionable AND fashionable. You can meet your babys needs and look good while doing it!
What makes your baby carriers better than the ones offered in mainstream retail stores? TOP
Ergonomically correct. Ever hear the term? It means that your baby is sitting, just like when you hold him on your hip. It is healthy for his spine, hip and pelvis development. Our carriers are ergonomically correct. The downside to the other guys is that the baby is dangling, instead of sitting. This creates pressure on their crotch, and isn't good for their spine development. Our two shouldered carriers also provide even weight distribution for the parent. Not only do you have shoulder straps, but a very important feature is waist strap, to distribute the babys weight onto your hips. It makes for a much more comfortable babywearing experience. And remember, you AND baby can be comfortable while babywearing.

Why do your carriers cost more than the ones I saw at Target? TOP
Quality. You get what you pay for. Just because something hasn't hit the shelves of a mainstream store doesn't mean it isn't an awesome product. (as you Pampered Chef fans know!) We have used a lot of baby carriers, and we only choose brands that we love and use, by companies that practice fair business, both in this country and out.
Doesn't that hurt your back? TOP
I get this question a lot, and I don't think it's just because I'm wearing a big chunk of baby. Many people have told me that they tried baby carriers and didn't find them comfortable. I always tell people, "if it's not comfortable, than something isn't right." It could be that your carrier isn't designed for correct alignment and weight disbursement. (the one you didn't buy from us) It could be that you're not using the carrier correctly. But the answer to the question is, NO, it does not hurt my back, or my neck, hips, or anything. Babywearing actually makes your baby feel like half his weight. The weight is distributed throughout your body, not just on your arms and shoulders. Which is a lifesaver for someone with back problems and/or big babies.
